VoxGuard Details and Specifications
The VoxGuard is a near field vocal screen designed to reduce the ambient field around a microphone when recording. It substantially reduces off-axis room reflections from entering the mic capsule for a more isolated and focused sound. This allows the engineer to reintroduce digital effects during post production.
The VoxGuard is unique in that it is larger than competitive products while being lighter. This makes it more stable on mics stands and boom extensions opening the door to a wide array of applications like acoustically shielding (gobo) instrument mics from loud amplifiers; portable desktop pod-casting and interviews; mounted on a fish pole boom for recording sound effects or for use on all types of mic stands.
The VoxGuard attaches to a mic stand with the supplied threaded mic stand adaptor. An cable access port allows the mic cable to pass through while allowing the microphone to be articulated for optimum positioning.
