Recoil Stabilizer Review

"Bass is better defined - actually sounding like you've dropped in a high-pass filter that's clearing all the mud below about 40Hz... For me, the most obvious sonic difference was a very noticable increase in the definition of the mid-range, with a hugely increased depth of field. And these differences aren't slight - it's a very apparent shift in response.... they are worth their (considerable) weight in gold."

Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer Review

"In A/B comparisons using a variety of studio near-fields - Mackie HRM8s, Meyer HD-1s and Dynaudio Air6s - the difference was clearly discernible. In every case, the stereo soundstage was improved, as was the reproduction of HF transients. Recoil's secret is nothing more than basic physics: it's all about mass."

Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer Review

"Tests with my Mackie HR624s produced noticeably better stereo imaging than mounting the speakers directly on the shelf surface, and the low end seemed much better controlled. Next to sorting out any basic acoustic problems, mounting your speakers correctly is probably the most important thing you can do to improve your monitoring accuracy, and if you're desk-mounting [console-mounting for us on this side of the pond. - Primacoustic Editor] them, I can't recommend highly enough using some kind of isolation pad. The Recoil Stabilizers are the best I've tried..."

Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer Review

"As soon as I got them set up with a pair of Yamaha MPS7 boxes that happened to be around for a review, the improvement was instantaneous and not subtle. For a reality check I removed the Recoil Stabilizers and we were back to our old problems, some of which I hadn't even been aware of until they reappeared. The Recoils were clearing up the low mids, making the low end more focused and improving the speaker's imaging, especially at the phantom center. I continued using the Recoils with lots of other speakers - Digidesign's models RM 1 and RM 2, Focal Twin 6, M-Audio EX-66 and JBL LSR 4328. In every case, the improvements were substantial."

EQ Magazine
Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer Review

"...Primacoustic sent out prototypes to a bunch of high-profile engineers and reviewers - including yours truly - and asked for comments. None of us compared notes, but we all noticed the same thing: more consistent bass, superior imaging, and a tighter sound."

Tape Op Magazine
Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer Review

"I immediately heard the difference. More - and punchier - low end, better defined mids, clearer highs... The increased clarity is not at all subtle! If you have a need to decouple your speakers from the surface upon which they sit, the Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer is definitely the way to go."

Primacoustic Freeport Acoustic Panels Feature Review

"...With this setup, we were able to discern the most subtle of fade problems, and were quickly able to create an excellent-sounding sampler with a minimum of surprises. The use of the Freeport panels was an unqualified success in this combined office/studio space. I was able to create a comfortable working space with a minimum of hassle. The flexibility of the stand alone panels provided a changeable environment, and allowed me to tweek the space for the job at hand."

TapeOp Magazine
Primacoustic Freeport Acoustic Panels

"...Freeport looks very cool, and it does a great job of providing 'tactical' acoustic treatment. ...They have just the right amount of absorption to tailor the sound of the 'room' that makes its way into the vocal mic. Just by varying the placement of the panels around the mic and vocalist I can make the room sound bigger/smaller, darker/brighter, or harder/softer. ... the Freeports not only performed well, but they're so quick to set up. Having a pair of Freeports is like having a variable 'intimacy' control for your room that's incredibly easy to tweak."

Audio Media Magazine
Primacoustic London 14 Acoustic Treatment' Feature Review.

"... the most telling track was Joni Mitchel's 'Big Yellow Taxi'. It's a great acoustic work that gave us the real story. In short, we could hear the room that the track was recorded in, plus the room we were listening in. I'm not sure there is anything that advocates the acoustic treatment as effectively as this".

Primakits - A New Room in a Box' 6-page Feature Review.

"Imaging has improved dramatically. Mixes now display a depth that previously never translated in this room. It's as if the front wall behind the monitors has disappeared. I'd give Primacoustic a qualified thumbs up!"

TapeOp Magazine
Primakit Studio in a Box Acoustical Treatment' Review.

"...I had the room treated in 4 hours. ...Installation onto drywall and brick couldn't have been easier. We listened and heard an obvious difference. Mud gone, imaging cleaned up. ...Now the highs are crisp, the midrange is well defined, and the low end is right where it should be. ...When it came to choosing an acoustic treatment for my control room, it was an easy decision: Primacoustic Primakit was the clear winner."

Electronic Musician Magazine
London 14 'Quick Picks' Review.

"The London 14 is a welcome addition to my studio. The effects in controlling unwanted acoustic artifacts have been significant... Primacoustic's kit approach strikes a great balance in price and performance."

Pro Audio Review
Primacoustic London Acoustic Treatment System

"After installing the London 14 kit, the acoustics of the room improved measurably. Another obvious improvement was the general reduction of quick reflections that cause wash, distraction and listening fatigue. The London kit installed easily, looked professional and successfully improved the existing poor acoustics of the test room."
