Panel Structure

Side-wash control is an essential component when designing a room using the live-end dead-end concept, as it allows one to minimize near-wall primary reflections while reducing tiresome side-to-side room chatter and other unwanted distractions.

Green arrows represent direct sound from monitors. Red arrows depict primary reflections from side walls. Blue arrows show secondary reflections from side walls. Europa (front wall), Scandia (rear wall) and Australis (corners) shown for reference, not included with Orientique.

Featuring high-density open-cell acoustical foam, the Primacoustic Orientique Washboards are multi-function, full bandwidth anechoic absorbers that provide effective absorption from 500Hz and up. Set up as pairs at 'ear-level' on walls adjacent to the mix position, these combine for excellent side-wash control of primary reflections and will reduce side-to-side flutter and offensive standing waves caused by parallel surfaces.

Orientique's modular design allows the individual foam panels to be arranged in a choice of design patterns to suit one's architectural or artistic preference. Comes standard in a UV-resistant dark charcoal color that may be painted to suit.
