FullTrap Wall Mounting
This 24"x 48"x 8" device ships in a flat-pack to reduce costs and only takes minutes to assemble. Installation is done using the supplied wall mount cleat. The assembled FullTrap simply locks onto and hangs from the cleat. Select the location where you would like to hang your FullTrap. Ideally, the center of the FullTrap should be positions at the same height as your ears when seated in your listening position but this is flexible if room decore or listening position dictates otherwise.
1. The FullTrap should be screwed into the wall studs. Locate two wall studs that are 12” to 16” apart and mark their position. A stud finder is recommended for this. Alternatively, use wall anchors capable of supporting at least 55lbs. For sheetrock walls 1/4” toggle bolts are recomended. For masonry and cement block use an approriate anchor made for that material.
2. Mark the wall where the top of the FullTrap will be. Use a bubble level and pencil to make a
straight horizontal line.
3. Measure down 12 inches from the top line and mark the position of the wall mount cleat with a short horizontal line. Again, use a bubble level to ensure the FullTrap hangs straight.
4. Measure the distance between studs. Use the measurement to drill two holes in the wall mount cleat.
5. Position the wall mount cleat level along the line you marked in step 3. Screw the cleat into the studs or fasten with an appropriate anchor. Be sure the beveled edge is facing up and in toward the wall (see diagram).
6. With the help of a second person, lift the completed FullTrap assembly up and gently lower the beveled frame stretcher onto the beveled wall cleat. The opposite beveled edges will lock together and safely support the FullTrap on the wall. |
